The Sweet Dough Sisters Cookie Company, LLC, didn’t start over night.  The Sweet Dough Sisters, more formally known as Laurie Travis and Kim Southern have always had a love for baking.  Anytime there was a family gathering or event, bringing a sweet treat (of the dough variety) was usually our “go-to” option.  After many years of baking cookies and bringing these sweet treats to parties and celebrations, we started getting requests to make themed batches for our friends and family.   As requests expanded and word of mouth spread, we thought it was time to “officially” become a cookie company and started The Sweet Dough Sisters Cookie Co. in 2023.  Each of our cookies are handmade and personally decorated with love.  While our “Absolutely Almond” original flavor is the one that put us on this journey, we have recently branched out with a few new flavors.   Our love for baking started at an early age, but the greatest piece of satisfaction for us now is watching the joyful reaction when people see their final product.  Our motto has always been to Bring Joy To People – One Cookie at a Time.  Admit it, cookies do make you smile.

About Laurie Watson Travis (also known as Kim’s Older Sister) – Laurie married Blake Travis in 2001.  When she is not baking, you’ll find her building awareness for Huntington’s Disease.  Her husband was diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease in 2018 and she’s on a mission to spread the word on this non-curable genetic neurological disease.  Don’t know about Huntington’s Disease, click here to learn more.

About Kim Watson Southern (known as Laurie’s MUCH Younger Sister) – Kim is married to David Southern (2000) and they have two amazing sons (17 and 21 years old).  Her boys have played a valuable role in the cookie “quality control” department and they are brutally honest.  When Kim isn’t in the kitchen baking (or let’s be honest, cooking for her growing boys), you’ll find her spending time at the football fields, track & field events, YMCA (Water Aerobics) or Pickleball courts.
